I'm looking for any information or Possible photo for Albert Henry Frederick de Woolfson, Trooper 30917 15th Company (Northumberland)5th Btn Imperial Yeomanry.

Albert later joined the Royal Indian Marines RIM and retired on 26 July 1922 with the rank of Lieut-Comdr and also received an OBE.

We do have his RIM's Dress Sword (handed down to my wife) and would very much like to locate a military photo of him to go with the sword. We have no idea what happened to his medals

Any help to locate details or photo relating to either military careers would be greatly appreciated.

Ibbotson,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum.

In your search for a photo of Woolfson, you are probably more likely to find something from the period after the Boer War. There are many more photos of officers than there are of troopers/ You may also find one where he is wearing the sword you have.

Please let us know how you get on.

Best wishes
David
