My grandfather was Arthur Edward WILLIAMS, born in Luton in 1876, and I believe he served in the British South Africa Police during the Boer War. Unfortunately I have no further information about him, but my late mother thought he was in Johannesburg at some point. I have searched many websites but have never been able to find anything about his time in South Africa - can anyone help? I have attached the only photo I have which isn't very clear. He is the rider marked with a cross. Many thanks.
