I've already posted about James Thomas, Grenadier Guards, of St Briavels, Gloucestershire, who committed suicide on 30th September 1902, but the village saw a second suicide of a soldier a day short of three months later.
Private Thomas Harris, of the South Wales Borderers, "recently returned from South Africa," and died on Monday 29th December 1902. He seems to have been local to St Briavels, but living in Cardiff at the time of his death, and was visiting relatives in St Briavels when he killed himself.
I know where he's buried, possibly in an unmarked grave, but I have a good description of the exact location so hope to be able to visit it next year.
