ebocrew Topic Author Offline Fresh recruit Posts: 2 Thank you received: 0	Hello, I have just discovered that a distant relative ( 9498 Sgt A Richardson)served in the 2nd Batallion and was sent to South Africa with his unit, the 2nd Battallion on the troopship Britannic in 1899! I don't suppose for a minute that wives travelled on the troopships! Were/did they go privately to follow their husbands? What an interesting find this site is
