Hello Everyone

I recently acquired this 8 bar QSA to
32459 Gnr A Colhoun 76th Bty RFA
The bars and rivets look ok to me, but the roll shows he only qualified for 3 bars. Can anyone assist here. Is there another roll that needs to be checked or is this a 3 bar QSA and not a 8 bar QSA
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The roll reports he was invalided but there are no service papers for him to indicate when this occurred.

Your pictures are very helpful. The rivets do take on a more varied appearance after the first two.

There is another roll for the RA in WO100/137 (available from TNA or on Ancestry).

This (WO100/137p38) indicates he did indeed receive the 3 clasp medal.

Your man Alexander Colhouns clasp entitlement.
Looks like he wounded his thumb on duty in 1899.
