TOPIC:

"British Battles & Medals" lists a Town Guard entitled "Farmer".
This does not show up on the list on this site.
I am pretty sure that "Farmer" is an incorrect/inadequate naming.
Does anybody have the correct name?

That entry in BB&M is odd because it it not appended in brackets with the approximate number awarded.

It may be a misinterpretation of the Farmers' Guard? I note that the Farmers' Guard is not listed in the Addition SA units section so this may be the explanation.

Stellenbosch may not have had a Town Guard but they did have a DMT.

Indeed. Stellenbosch had both. The Important Decision Book notes 'In the case of the Stellenbosch TG which served for four days, decided not entitled to the Medal.'
