As part of a wider project I am seeking any image of the above named. He went to war as an officer in the 19th Hussars, and was later posted to command the 2nd Scottish Horse, shortly before being killed in action at Hake-Banagher on 20 December 1901. I ahve found two images for men I am researching in group photos included in the volume "Transvaal in War and Peace". if anyone has come upon his image either individually or in a group I would be very grateful for a steer.

Keith,

I have checked a couple of possible sources but not found a portrait of him yet.

Thanks David. I am trying to work out whether there is a regimental museum or archive, but that may take a few days.I have contacted the Ogilby Trust as there is no obvious one.

There is a Scottish Horse museum up in Dunkeld, although I dare say it is actually closed as things stand at the present, perhaps an avenue to pursue at some future point, whilst the original regiment was part of the SAMIF, there is a degree of lineage, Jennings Brady was a British cavalry officer as well as a commanding officer, he was subsequently buried at Standerton.
