Port Alfred - maybe Prince Alfred Guards? I have a few names of soldiers and two captains of Prince Alfred Guards, who had died during the war.

Probably not.. Prince Alfred's Guard is a regiment in Port Elizabeth. At the time of the ABW it was a volunteer infantry unit. During WW II it became an armoured regiment, which, I believe, it still is.
